A public ledger for gram panchayats
Why this site

Because a village should not have to keep the secret.

A gram panchayat is meant to be the nearest government. It is also, too often, the farthest from scrutiny. Money moves through schemes, contractors, and signatures. The road still ends in mud. People talk at the handpump. Then they go home.

This website was created for that gap: a simple public ledger where anyone in any state or union territory of India can write what happened in their panchayat or nagar palika, with the names and the place attached, and where anyone else can search it later.

What we are not

We are not a court. We are not a political party. A published report is an allegation that has passed a basic review for spam and abuse. It is still a claim. Readers should treat it that way. Named people may be innocent. That is why the disclaimer sits on every file.

What we protect

A reporter may stay unnamed. Phone and email never appear unless the reporter asks for them to. Staff accounts used to moderate the site are ordinary admin accounts in public. There is no public list of who runs the servers.
